I've been hearing about the electro scene "dying" for a couple months now. I beg to differ. I feel as if it's evolving - and not into dubstep. The music is becoming more fluid and rhythmic, with less emphasis on the drop. Get into it.

Ganz Nackisch is the Dutch solution for Shadow Dancer and Crystal Castles' illegitimate lovechild. That's the best way I can put it. These songs have been in constant rotation for me. I can't get enough of it - why they haven't blown up yet is beyond me. I highly recommend these guys.

There's no way I can dismiss this latest solid effort from one of my personal favorites, Shinichi Osawa. After getting that sort-of-shit album S02 out of his system, he's going back to the banger route.

ZZT, which is Tiga's collaboration from a while back, is back with this killer joint. I know I'm a bit late on the train on this one, but this MP3 has been hard as fuck to locate.

It's finally HONG KONG WEEK here at CREEP-ASS AUTUMN. Sorry for the lack of updates lately! We are back for sure.

This German-born Hong Kong tastemaker has been making the rounds in Southern Asia's club circuit for a while now. Not only was he crowned DMC German Champion twice, but he's also the brains behind Volar's (Lan Kwai Fong) legendary Hype Nasty parties. He's shared the stage with A-Trak, Beyonce, Drop The Lime, Solo, Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, Steve Aoki, and more. Say "ja, bitte", say "danke" to DJ Kid Fresh!

I'm going on vacation this weekend to a beach in southern China. I'm wrapping up the HONG KONG interviews as I write this. Thanks for your patience. See yall next week!

I've been a sucker for alt-folk for as long as I can remember. Here are some gems I'd like to share with yall.

We Are Trees, based out of Virginia Beach, defines their music as "acoustic lo-fi bedroom folk pop". I was convinced this was a side-project from Grizzly Bear's Daniel Rossen, but it's actually a completely different dude. That's not to say they sound exactly fucking alike. The production is top-notch on these songs. I wouldn't be surprised to see these guys blow up fairly soon.

Maryland-based Cotton Jones hits a certain sweet spot for me. There's the trademark folky-desperation-bluesy thing coating his voice. Oh, and they're also coming to TT the Bear's in Cambridge this October, so you should probably check it out.

And of course, how could I forget to add Old Canes in a folk music post? This is the side project from The Appleseed Cast's Chris Crisci. Early Morning Hymns one of the albums that carried me through high school and all sorts of emotional distress. I remember seeing them at Great Scott in Allston way back in the day and really enjoying it. Not all into their newer stuff, though.

That's it for now. My apologies for the lack of posts recently; it's been hectic trying to figure out airline tickets for my visit back home. This week is HONG KONG WEEK at the blog, so let's get excited!

You may be asking yourself who this enterprising gentleman is. He's currently the driving force behind Tuesday nights at Zuzu with Work!. He is behind the infamous underground Bostonian "TRUST" parties, as well as 1/2 of ROGUEWAVES. Oh yeah, and he's my best friend, too. He doesn't like that bitch and he doesn't see her - it's Justincredible!
